1. ORDERING

 

What are my payment options?

We accept major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.  We also accept payment via Quadpay, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

 

Will I be charged Sales Tax?

Depending of the location to which an order is being delivered, we are required by law to charge and collect taxes based on the tax laws applicable on our products. 

The appropriate taxes will be added at checkout to the order total. 

 

Once I begin to fill up a basket, how long does it remain active?

Depending on your web browser and cookies settings, your cart may be available for up to two weeks whether or not you are logged into your customer account.  Please note that the products in your cart are not reserved.

    

I didn't receive the confirmation of the order?  Did the payment go through?

Please check your spam/junk folder for an order confirmation email.  If nothing is found, contact our customer service team to confirm if your order has been successfully received.

 

Do you offer discount codes and promotion? 

Paradis Perdus is a small company that was created to provide customers with luxury, high quality items at affordable prices with highest standards towards sustainability and committed to have the lowest impact on earth. We are not at the moment offering any discount code or promotion. 

 

2. Changing or Cancelling an Order

 

Can I change something in my order or add more items?

We recommend cancelling your order and placing a new one, if you haven’t received yet a confirmation of shipment. You can always contact customer service at bonjour@paradisperdusnyc.com and we will do our best to accommodate your request. 

 

Can I cancel my order?

Yes, if you need to cancel (why would you?!)  as long as you contact us before your order is shipped. Please contact our Customer Service at bonjour@paradisperdusnyc.com as soon as possible. You will receive a full refund, which may take up to 10 business days to go through, depending on your bank/payment method.

 

 

3. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

  

Where do you ship from?

Orders ship from our warehouse located in Brooklyn, NY.

 

What are my shipping options?

We offer the following shipping methods:

 

For shipping in the USA:

  • UPS Ground Shipping:       FREE 
  • UPS Express Shipping:      $20
  • UPS Overnight Shipping:   $35

Please note we cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.

You will also be provided at check out with the option to request signature at delivery for $5. We offer a signature requirement option for customers who prefer a secure method of delivery.  Please note Paradis Perdus will not be liable for any lost/stolen shipments that do not have a signature requirement. 

 
International shipping:

All International Orders are shipped using UPS or DHL.  Shipping rates are calculated at check out based on shipping location.

For shipping abroad:

  • UPS/DHL 2 days :                                  $45
  • UPS/DHL 5 days below $398 order:      $35
  • UPS/DHL 5 days above $399 order:      Free

All International Orders are shipped with Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU) which means customers are responsible for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes.

International orders are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged.

 

When will my order ship?

Orders that are placed by 5:00PM EST will be processed and shipped within 1 business days, regardless of shipping speed selected.

 

Can I track my shipment?

Yes, once the shipment is created an tracking number will be provided via email. This tracking number will also be available in your account on our site. 

 

When will I receive my order?

Ground shipments generally take between 1-5 business days depending on your shipping address to deliver.  Express shipping is available and take between 1-2 days depending on which coast you are on. Overnight shipping is available at a flat rate of $35.  

You should receive an estimated delivery date when you track your order. Please note, delays may occur during busy holiday periods as well as due to the Covid-19 situation. 

 

What happens to my order if I am not at home when it is delivered or if there is a problem with the delivery?

At the carrier driver's discretion, the package can be left in a safe place at the shipping address provided. This could include the front porch, side door, back porch, garage area, or with a neighbor or leasing office. (which would be noted in a notice left by the driver).

Once a package has left our warehouse, please contact the carrier directly regarding delivery issues.

 

Please be aware that if any items shipped are rejected and returned to Paradis Perdus Inc (ie. If the recipient is not willing to pay the applicable local taxes/ import duties, the delivery address is wrong or there is no one to accept the package) we are unable to refund original shipping charges, custom charges or any return/rejection charges that are incurred by us.

Are there customs duties/taxes?

USA

Orders shipping to New York state are subject to sales tax.  All other states are tax free.

 

INTERNATIONAL

All International Orders are shipped with Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU) which means customers are responsible for all import duties, customs and local sales taxes.

Once your order has shipped the carrier will bill you to pay any taxes levied by the country you are shipping to.

Please note that international orders are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged.

  

4. RETURN AND EXCHANGES

 

How do I return products?

Returns and exchanged are permitted with domestic orders shipped within the USA. Returns for refund will incur an $8 restocking fee.  This restocking fee is waived for exchanges.

To submit a return request, please contact customer service at bonjour@paradisperdusnyc.com.  If your return is approved, you will be contacted via email with a return shipping label and instructions.  Returns must be shipped back within 7 days of authorization.  Final sale items cannot be returned or exchanged. 

All International orders are considered FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged.

We at Paradis Perdus, are fighting against climate change and harm made to the planet. We are committed to have the lowest impact on the planet and are compensated more than our annual gas emission. In this optic, accepting exchanges and returns from overseas has a too high impact on the planet and should not be considered with your purchases at Paradis Perdus, nor with other purchases in general. We are a Brooklyn NY based company and this is where we ship from. As we grow, we target to have local presence in Europe and Asia that will allow us to ship orders from there and save on shipments impact, we will then be able to accept returns and exchange. We are providing as much information and details about our products on the product pages. Should you need extra clarification about sizing or fit to be sure before placing your order, please contact our customer service at bonjour@paradisperdusnyc.com.

 

 

My item is defective, what should I do?

Please contact Customer Service at bonjour@paradisperdusnyc.com immediately if your item is damaged or defective.  Returns must be requested within 14 days of the receipt of your order.

 

I made a return but haven't received my refund. Can you check on it?

Once we receive your item back to our warehouse, we will process the refund. It can take up to 10 business days to go through. This does not include your bank’s processing time and reimbursement will be issued via original payment method. Please contact Customer Service at bonjour@paradisperdusnyc.com to check on the status of your refund.

 

5. GIFT CARDS

 

Where can I purchase and use a Paradis Perdus gift card?

Our gift cards are only available on our website and they can easily be redeemed online only. They are digital only; no physical card will be administered. The online gift card arrive instantly via email.

 

When do gift cards expire?

PARADIS PERDUS INC e-gift cards must be used within 5 years from the date of purchase.

Gift cards are final sale and non-refundable.

 

How do I redeem a gift card?

To redeem your gift card, you must have the gift card code which is provided via email.  This code will be entered upon checkout.

If the balance of the gift card does not cover the full amount of your order, the remaining balance will show upon checkout. This outstanding balance will have to be paid using the regular way.

If the full balance of your gift card is unused, it will remain active on the gift card until the end of validity period.

 

What happens if I decide to return an item purchased with a gift card?

If items purchased with a gift card are returned for a refund, the value of the item(s) will go back on to the original gift card code.

     

What currency are gift cards generated in?

Paradis Perdus online gift cards can only be generated in USD. The gift card amount cannot be transferred into any other form of currency.

 

 

 

 

6. PRODUCT CARE

  

 

Knitwear care

Please follow the instructions for care that are included on the care label of every product.

 

We recommend keeping all knitwear stored in a clean place free of moths. When you are in ‘sweater’ season and using our products, we recommend keeping them fold flat in an aerate place to allow them to breathe. 

 

Knitted garment are always pilling, recycled or not, as during the fabrication of the yarn, fibers are twisted together, long and short fibers. The shortest fibers will exit the yarn as you wear your garment and become visible, this is what we call pilling. Once short fibers have disappeared from the garment, only long ones will last and  your knitwear will stop pilling. For the pilling we recommend using our sweater combs when needed, just brush very lightly in the direction of the stitch and collect the pilling. 

 

Jersey care

Please follow the instructions for care that are included on the care label of every product.

The recommended temperature should not be exceeded. It is also ok to wash our clothes at a lower temperature to the one stated in the washing instructions.

Also, we highly recommend to use a “stop waste washing bag” like https://en.guppyfriend.com that allows to hold any single plastic particle from going with the washing water and in nature.
